Installing Vega

There are some known issues with the Vega beta that may affect Linux and Windows users.

See the Troubleshooting page for information if you encounter problems with the vanilla install.

Linux

  1. Download the archive corresponding to your architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).

  2. Unzip it in your home directory, or wherever appropriate.

  3. Change into your home directory and run ./Vega.

OS X

  1. Download and mount the Vega disk image corresponding to your architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).

  2. Open it.

  3. Copy Vega.app to your Applications folder.

Windows

  1. Download the installer corresponding to your JRE (32-bit or 64-bit). !Note that a 32-bit JRE is the default download from Oracle, and can be identified by being in the "(x86)" path on a 64-bit Windows systems. This will require a download of the 32-bit version of Vega!

  2. Run the installer.

  3. Double click the Vega icon.
